The Start of my Appaloosa Horse Business
Donna On Moonlight's Mayoui, my first Appaloosa owned.
Moonlight was in foal, carrying Widders's Angel (Angie)
This mare was a handful when I first got her. She didn't know the meaning of Whoa. In this picture was after many months of hard work. Gentle enough to ride with just a halter, and she knew the meaning of whoa in this picture. She did sliding stops.
Moonlight is a few spotted leopard mare. She was five years old in this picture. Her bloodline goes back to High Hands
Photo taken a few months after purchasing Moonlight
Winter of 1977-1978
Donna on Moonlight (Yellow Outfit)
Riding in the Spring of 1978 Dogwood Festival Parade with the Laurie Saddle Club. The club was real active in area parades. We also rode in the Camdenton Rodeo Parade. Saddle Club won trophies in several parades. Moonlight was very heavily in foal, carrying Widder's Angel (Angie).
Moonlight's Mayoui and Widder's Angel (Angie) (Deceased)
June 14, 1978-August 18, 1985
She's my first Appaloosa I raised.
This picture was taken when Angie was two days old.
June 16, 1978
Sire: Widder's Gold (AQHA) sired by Otoe's Wonder (AQHA) (AAA AQHA Champion)
Dam: Moonlight's Mayoui (ApHC)
(Mayoui meaning Morning Light)
Unfortunetly, due to a Fatal accident, Angie was put down in 1985. She was a fun horse to be around, she was always my baby. I worked with her from day one of her life, till the last day of her life. I trained her for Western Pleasure, and rode her in the Missouri State Fair Parade, just that year, and also rode her in the Warsaw, Mo; Rodeo Days Parade. Won trophies with the Warsaw Saddle Club twice one in each of the parades.
Angie will always be missed. I'll never forget about the day I lost her. She was also five months in foal. She was carrying a Ha-Dar Shado Foal.
Thank you, Pam Graham for making this background for me.
Background sound is Garth Brook's "The Dance" I just felt this was the appropriate sound for this page, just for Angie.
Donna starting Widder's Angel
She was easy to train, and lots of fun to work with.

When I left this world without you
I know it made you blue.
Your tears fell so freely, I watched: I know this is true.
While you were weeping,
Days after I passed away --
While all was silent within me,
I saw you kneel to pray.
From this wonderful place called heaven
Where all my pain is gone,
I send a gentle breeze to whisper,
"My loved ones, please go on."
The peace that I have found here
Goes far beyond compare.
No rain, no clouds, no suffering --
Just LOVE from everywhere.
You need not be troubled
Just stay close to GOD in prayer
Someday we'll be reunited
My love, HIS love surrounds you always,
EVERYWHERE

Thank you, Mermie for allowing me to Dedicate this beautiful poem to my Angie, who is an angel in the sky with many of our furbabies who went over the Rainbow Bridge!!
